How commissions work (Ambassadors)
A complete guide to how you earn and how much.
Overview
You earn commissions in up to three layers for each partner you refer. The layers stack — you can earn all three from a single referral if the partner is a hotel or vacation rental that completes many transfers.
Layer 1 - First Transfer Bonus
You earn this bonus when the partner you referred completes their very first transfer with Welcome Pickups. This is a one-time payment per referred partner.

Layer 2 - Fifth Transfer Bonus
When the same referred partner reaches 5 cumulative transfers, you earn an additional bonus. This applies to hotels and vacation rentals only.

Layer 3 - Recurring Commissions
For hotels and vacation rentals, you earn €1 for every transfer the partner completes during their first 3 years of partnership with Welcome Pickups. This is on top of the first and fifth transfer bonuses and applies from transfer 1 onwards.
Example: You refer a Cluster A hotel. They complete 120 transfers in their first year. You earn: €100 (1st transfer bonus) + €200 (5th transfer bonus) + €120 (€1 × 120 recurring transfers) = €420 total.
Travel agencies and company accounts do not generate recurring commissions — only the First Transfer Bonus applies to them.

How commissions are tracked
Commissions are tracked automatically — you do not need to do anything after making the referral. Here is what happens behind the scenes:
- Our team reaches out to the partner you referred.
- The Welcome Pickups backend records transfers as the partner completes them.
- Our system automatically sends commission events to the third-party platform that we work with for payments (impact.com) when transfer milestones are reached (1st transfer, 5th transfer, each subsequent transfer).
- impact.com records the commission, send it to our system, and you're notified for collection.
