How to set up your account to start receiving commissions (Hotels)

In this guide, we take a look at the process of setting up your financial details to start receiving commissions for each trip operated.

Hotel owners have the opportunity to earn a commission for every trip their guests complete with Welcome Pickups.

To activate this feature, three essential steps must be completed:

Step 1: Add your business details

Step 2: Provide your payment details (bank information) to receive your payments

Step 3: Set up your commission

Step 1: Adding your business information:

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Click "Commissions."
  3. And then click "Payment preferences."
  4. Enter your business details, including your:
  • Company name
  • Website (if applicable)
  • Phone number
  • Country
  • City
  • Postal code
  • Address
  • and VAT code.

Note: If you don't have a VAT code, type N/A

 

If you wish for your company's VAT number to be displayed on every booking's transaction confirmation, simply tick the appropriate box:

Caution: If you prefer not to include your VAT number, simply type "NA".

 

Click on "Save Changes."


 

Step 2: Adding your payment details (bank information)

1. On the same screen, click "Payment details"

2. Choose between bank transaction, gift card or PayPal. Regardless of the choice, specify your preferred payout currency and the type of invoice. 

Please note the following important information:

  • For hotel companies located in the EU, please select the IBAN option and enter your bank details accordingly:
    hotel-iban-eu
  • For hotel companies outside of the EU, choose the "Other" option to provide your SWIFT/BIC code:
    hotel-other-outside-eu

If you go for the gift card options you can pick from the following 4 options based on your region: 

  • Go Giift (Global)
  • Click and Gift (Spain) 
  • Click and Gift (Portugal) 
  • Gladly (France) 

Note: You can even add members to share the total gift card amount.

When you pick you need to add per beneficiary the following: 

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email Address 
  • Percentage of share (how much of the gift card amount will go to each member)

Note: If you go with PayPal, you only need to provide us with your PayPal account email and contact details. If you go with a bank transaction, we need your bank account information.

 

3. Decide whether to allow Welcome Pickups to issue a self-invoice automatically, or to invoice each time a payment is requested.

 

Tip: We suggest that you choose Welcome Pickups to issue a self invoice automatically for automation purposes.

 

4. Enter your PayPal email address or your bank account details – depending on your preferred payment option. If you choose gift card all you have to do is to specify the payout preferred currency and then the type of the card.  

5. Add the financial contact details. If you're the PayPal / Bank account owner, add your own contact information.

6. Click "Save changes.


Step 3: Setting up the commission 

  1. Go to ''Commission''
  2. Go to ''Pricing''
  3. Set up your commission either by percentage or fixed

Caution: You will be able to make changes to your commission setup until your first booking has been booked. After this, you will have to contact our team for further adjustments.

When adding bank details, EU hotel companies should use IBAN, while those outside the EU should select "Other" to enter their SWIFT/BIC code. For more, click here.
